Ronnie Morales BIO

My name is Ronald. I’m currently a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in Communication. I’m a tree hugger, which means I hug trees for a living (ha-ha). No, I’m just kidding, but I do enjoy the planet I live on. My goal is to inform you along with my classmates, different methods to prevent Global Warming to continue happening. I would hope, with every act of effort, we could make it a better place for future generations and us.

Why environmental protection?

Ever wonder if we could ever live on another planet someday? A planet where everything is clean and beautiful with vivid colors to admire? Well, you can’t and while we’re on Earth, we should take care of it. We all have contributed to hurting the planet, whether buying cars that are really harmful to the environment, using products that are very harmful to plants and gardens, even cutting down millions and millions of trees so we could have something to write on. Yes, we all are guilty, but the good news is that we still have opportunities to help our planet and save it from Global Warming. We will be providing tips weekly on simple things that we can do at home to help preserve the environment and how to be effective lobbyist to help improve our environmental protection policies and heal the environment!

Jeannette Matamba BIO

Hello everyone, my name is Jeannette Matamba and I am also a senior at the University of Maryland. I am currently pursuing a degree in communications with plans to graduate in December of 2014. In my spare time I like to do something fun but relaxing. You can always find me outdoors, reading a book or walking along a trail. I love anything to do with nature. I wanted to get involved with this blog because I believe in doing everything we possibly can together to preserve our environment. I hope this blog helps each of us become more aware of our environment and reminds us just how wonderful nature is. IMG_3029

Ingrid Zelaya BIO

My name is Ingrid Zelaya-Ascencio, I am a communications senior at the University of Maryland College Park. I enjoy writing and reading a lot, but also being active and doing tons of things in the outdoors; I love to go camping, hiking, jogging, swimming etc., just simply to engage with nature. so for me is really important to preserve an earth where I can still do all those activities for a very long time and someday when I am a mom share them with my kids. I am big on recycling, carpooling, not polluting and doing anything I can contribute to the health and preservation of our beautiful planet. This blog is an opportunity to inform others and share with them our ideas on how we can better preserve our natural resources, better our environmental laws and policies and do small thing at home to heal our wounded planet earth.
